The Royal albatross

 WALT: Use information from a text for our writing  


 The royal albatross is the largest sea bird in the world. It  measures 1.35 Metres from it’s bill to its tail. It also weighs up to 7.5 kilograms and there wingspan of 3 metres or more.


The royal albatross has mainly white feathers but has black on the top of its wings.


 The royal albatross returns to land to lay there 


Egg’s  and have a baby albatross . 

During October the albatross began to return to the breeding colonies. The Male arrives first and builds the nest. 

The albatross nest is made out of grass and

Surrounding  debris .

The albatross lays their eggs in November and hatched in January.
